Celebrating the natural world is my goal as an artist. My imagery is mainly abstract, but derived from organic forms and involves layering colors and shapes to suggest the depths beneath surfaces. Patterns of shadows and water fascinate me. Although I paint in oils, since 2003 I have focused on creating woodcuts and monotypes on paper and fabric. I have a home studio, but I am also a member of Zea Mays Printmaking in Florence, Massachusetts, which strives to be a “green” studio. Some of my prints are available from the Zea Mays Flat File.
